Terms of Use
Plain terms for a site that publishes measurements. Using Slate Stats means accepting them.
What this service is
Slate Stats publishes statistical research, player projections and comparisons drawn from public NFL data. Everything here is informational.
It is not a sportsbook. We do not accept wagers, hold funds, process bets or act as an intermediary to anyone who does.
It is not betting or financial advice. A projection is an estimate with error attached, and the site states that error rather than hiding it. Nothing here is a recommendation to place any bet, and no figure is a prediction of what will happen.
No guarantee of accuracy or outcome
Projections are produced by statistical models that are wrong by a measurable amount, and the size of that error is published alongside them. Data arrives from third parties and can be late, incomplete or incorrect.
Odds and lines shown are captured at a stated moment and move. A price quoted here may no longer exist.
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of it, including any betting loss.
Using the assistant
The assistant answers from our own measurements. It refuses questions it has no data for rather than guessing, and any figure it cannot trace to a measurement is flagged on the page.
It can still be wrong. Check anything that matters against a primary source before acting on it.
Do not use it to place bets on behalf of anyone else, and do not use it at all if you are below the legal age where you live.
Accounts
Sign-in is delegated to an identity provider. We never see or store a password.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think it has been used by someone else.
We may suspend an account that abuses the service, attempts to circumvent limits, or scrapes the site automatically.
Data and trademarks
Statistics derive from public sources including nflverse, and weather from Open-Meteo. Odds, where shown, come from a licensed feed and are attributed.
Slate Stats is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, the NFLPA, any team, or any sportsbook. Team and player names are used descriptively to identify the subjects of the statistics.
Changes
These terms were last updated on 27 September 2026. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new date.
